YELLOWFIN TUNA FISHING TOURNAMENT

Join Members of the Battle Ground Bahamas Yellowfin Tuna Fishing Tournament for a third year, June 15-17, 2023, for two days of fishing on Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas.

This group was founded in 2020 by a group of avid fishermen native to the island of Grand Bahama.  Their goal is to showcase the skill it takes to be a true angler and to experience what it’s like to find the Big Fish.  Battle Ground Bahamas embraces the world-class offshore fishing community by promoting comradery through competition.

As fellow members of the Grand Bahama community, they have teamed up with the Grand Bahama Rotary Club and will assist with a donation to the GB Rotary Disaster Relief Committee.

The group is looking forward to providing a Fun, Family Friendly atmosphere for the whole community, and promoting safe boating practices while bringing back the excitement of a tournament to the island. This event will also serve as a platform to spread awareness of current ecological concerns throughout the islands.

This year’s tournament will be an official qualifier tournament for the @offshoreworldchampionship !

Fun fact: Did you know that a Bahamian team from Lyford Cay, Nassau won the first OWC that was held in Costa Rica 2013?
