Freeport from October 25 – 28th. Celebrated actors, directors, producers and writers will once again arrive by sea and air from the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) and film fans will have an opportunity to meet them and view a variety of international films, along with Bahamian-made films.

Hosted at the Canal House, Pelican Bay Hotel, ‘FLIFF On Location: Grand Bahama Island will feature international and local films, outdoor screenings of Sammy 2: , presentation of a Career Achievement Award to Giancarlo Esposito, specialist workshops, location scouting for international filmmakers, and a wrap party / awards presentation at the Grand Lucayan Resort. 

Island is a collaboration between the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Grand Bahama Island Tourism Board. About The Bahamas Celebration

The Bahamas Celebration is both intimate and spacious at the same time. The ship can accommodate up to 1, 200 passengers, and with seven passengers decks, there are lots of places to go, things to do and fun to be had.

Deck 3 is where you will enter the ship to begin your action-packed, fun-filled cruise. Deck 4 is where most of the action takes place and where you’ll find some of Bahamas Celebration’s great restaurants for delicious dining including the eloquent Crystal Room, the less formal but equally outstanding Rios and the intimate and upscale Cove.  Also on Deck 4 is the Wynmore Casino featuring blackjack, poker, roulette, dice and slots.  For a different type of entertainment you’ll enter the main floor of The View for entertaining live shows with multiple acts and late into the night dancing.  You’ll want to drop by Pub 411 for live music and a beverage or visit the Photo Gallery to be able to relive all the fun you had on board.

Deck 6 offers the beautiful Ocean Breeze Lounge and an adjacent outside sun deck.  For lots of fun and a chance to win $10,000, this is also the place for the nightly Karaoke.

Deck 9 is the place to play in the water, lay in the sun, enjoy a cold exotic drink or some ice cream and feel the cool ocean breeze of the Atlantic. You can take a dip in the pool or relax in one of the Jacuzzis.
